The Friends of John Ball are a registered charity and the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) for John Ball Primary School, in Blackheath.
All parents and carers with children at John Ball, and all members of staff at the school, are automatically part of The Friends.
Over the years, The Friends have raised many thousands of pounds, which have been spent on improving equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education and the facilities in school.
Our intention is to fund the ‘extra’ initiatives that are not provided for by the school’s budget (last year this included: funding trips; funding Bug Club; buying interactive white panels for the class rooms and much more – click here to read what we raised last year, how we raised it and what we spent the money on), as well as bring the John Ball community together – making our children’s learning experience more fulfilling and exciting.
If you’d like to get involved, please get in touch. You can be involved as much or as little as you like.
Be sure to follow our Facebook and Twitter pages to keep up-to-date with all our recent news!

See you at the next event or in the playground :o).
A strong PTA is a key characteristic of a successful school. We are incredibly lucky to have a great sense of community at John Ball. This sense of community allows us to deliver fantastic events for both our school and the extended community. In turn, the contribution the Friends make to the school both to this sense of  community, and financially, is significant – Michael Roach, Headteacher
