About The Friends of John Ball School
What are we?
The Friends of John Ball School is a registered charity (number 1017014), which brings children, teachers, parents and carers within the school community together to raise funds for educational and enrichment activities. It is a voluntary group that holds events during the school year to raise funds for the benefit of all the children within the school.
How do we do it?
- Organise events to raise money to supplement the school’s budget
- Purchase equipment and resources in line with requests from the school
- Work on bringing the John Ball community together – making our children’s learning experience more fulfilling and exciting
Who are we?
Trustees are responsible for controlling the work, management and administration of the charity. Our team all volunteer their time for free to help The Friends.
The trustees are:
Ling Marshall and Penny Boulyaphol (Co-Chairs); Maxime Senecaut (Treasurer); Samantha White (Secretaries); Richard Ferraris (Communications); Robert Macdonald; and Debbie Bowen.
All classes in the school have a ‘Friends Rep’. These reps provide a vital link between parents and The Friends. Everyone who is a carer or parent with a child at the school is a Friend and anyone can join in.
The Friends could not operate without a team of dedicated volunteers, who assist trustees in organising events and through a range of ad hoc activities.
